Response-Recovery-Rebuild Fund

"In times of crisis, there is hope."

During the pandemic and the 2021 Stanley tornado, the Community Foundation of Chippewa County collected its community and collaborated for solutions. Across the County, local nonprofits lost essential resources that allowed them to serve our community's most basic needs. Food, emergency communications, medical services, basic kitchen tools, and shelter were among the critical needs that people faced.

Through collaboration, and by leveraging the purpose of the Community Foundation, the Response-Recovery-Rebuild (RRR) Fund was established to help support local, urgent needs in times of crisis.

Generous support poured into the RRR Fund. This generosity allowed the Community Foundation to send out 55 grants totaling over $147K to be used by Chippewa County nonprofits to address urgent needs.

Continued donations to this fund ensure that it will be a source of support in times of local crisis.

Community foundations strengthen their communities through collaboration and innovation. Executive Director Jill Herriges said, "We are here for the long term, ready to support our communities when they need it most."
